Welcome to the Joy Felicity Podcast. I'm your host, Laura Wakefield, and I'm very pleased today to have on the show my guest, Celine Carr. Celine is a spiritual life coach who focuses primarily on helping women to heal and to change their lives through an understanding of the mind-body-soul connection. Welcome, Celine. Thank you so much for being here today with me.
SPEAKER_00:Thank you. Thank you so much, Laura. I'm so grateful to have this opportunity to show up on your show. I am a fan of your work. You are amazing. Keep doing what you're doing and let's make a change in this world.
SPEAKER_01:Thank you. That means a lot to me. So talk to me. I definitely agree with you that the mind, body, and soul are connected. Tell me what that means to you and how you use that in your coaching.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah. So we the mind, body, and soul for me is really connected by the heart. For me, that's how I see it. It's all about the heart. But we are so easily, a lot of the times what happens is we focus on one area. Let's say we're focusing on health. Well, we're going to focus on the body. We're going to eat healthier. We're going to exercise. We and a lot of people are waking up now and realizing that the mental health, the mind, is so, so important. But there's still a lot of people out there that they're not realizing how much of even if you want to dedicate hours of exercise and eating healthy, as long as your mental health is not, you are not focusing there, this will not bring you to anything. That's why I had to go through. And a lot of times what happens is you have to go through so much, like we we were talking about this earlier, where things start going wrong in all areas of your life. Or unfortunately, we wait for the moments where, God forbid, we get into an accident or we lose a job, or we to start realizing, okay, everything is turning wrong. And then you what happens, we start leaving reading self-help books, or you start concentrating on the mindset. And that's when you start realizing, okay, there's more connection to the body than just the body. And what makes the mind, body, and soul different from one person to another, the way I see it, you can have the same exact body as someone else. You can have the same mindset as someone else, but the only thing that will make you different is your soul. There's your soul, it is your unique DNA. It's your personality, it's your beliefs, it's your values, it's your spirituality, it's your connection to the higher self, to yourself. So that's why I like working with my clients on the mind, body, and soul, and even spirituality, including that love and light and that compassion, integrity. Those are all things that will, if you live off of these things, at the same time you're focusing on your values, things will the magic that will happen in your life, the manifestation that could come to you. But it in our society, we've been so used to pleasing everybody and focusing on everybody, what people think, what people want, what are their needs, on top of working and working for employees where it's all about what they want, that we come home and we're so burnt out or we're so tired and we never put ourselves first. So, what I went through through my journey is I got to a point where I was burnt out, depressed, I was done. And then when I had to go dig deep and work on my mind, I was like the magic that started happening and the understanding. I got to know finally myself for the first time in 40 years, where it's like, this is who I am. I I used to be the wife, the sister, the daughter, the employee, the, but I was never knowing what really Celine wants. What is my my things that make me feel good? So, but we're used to putting self-care as considering self-care as being selfish. Oh, I'm gonna take time off of my day to focus on myself, but what about the kids? What about the husband? What about this? And I learned that at one point I had no choice. It's either I was gonna go on pills or I was gonna be focusing on myself. And it's little things slowly, slowly, taking 10 minutes, 15 minutes a day. And then what happened is I started feeling much better. I started like, you know, taking care of myself, loving myself, being self-compassionate, self-forgiving around myself. And then I saw that wow, that was creating a magic in my family. My kids were happier, my husband was happier because mommy, the queen of the house, was happy, was good. I had to release all that, and then I was giving more love to my family because I was loving myself. So, priority, priority priority in my business is my priority is to have this woman come to me, first of all, feeling empowered. You are women are so strong, and we can make such a difference in this world. The feminine energy needs to be everywhere at this time because masculine energy will have enough. But that's all work. It's changing that, you know, those habits that we have to get there. So mind, body, and so yeah, that mind, body, and soul. You I cannot work with my customers just on one area. I believe they are related and giving them all the tools they need. It's not a coach, it's not there to do your job. A coach is there to guide you, give you all the tools you need. I see it as I give you a uh a Samsonite or a toolbox of all kinds of self-care. I tell you which tool to use to what. And then once we work on one area, it's the similar process for all the other areas. And when you when you leave, you have all it takes to guide to change all your areas in your life. Because it's a wheel, right? It's a wheel. We have finances, we have work, we have family, we have relationships, we have, but if you're focusing only on one area, what's happening now? The the wheel is not round. So you need to have that balance. And yeah, that's uh that's the little bit about the mind, body and soul. The mind is the thoughts you have every single day. You have like 10,000 thoughts that go through your mind. So those thoughts bring an emotion which you feel in your body. And then once you're feeling it in your body, if you're able to start understanding that when I'm feeling a headache or migraine, it's coming when it's this thought that I'm having, this kind of thought or this kind of stress. Now you can start either resonating with your thoughts and making sure that you don't have these thoughts. So you avoid these physical pains, or you start connecting to your physical pains and understanding I'm having these physical pains, then my thoughts are not in the present, they're not positive, they're not, and you can uh connect to that. And once that balance is done, then your soul is open to your life purpose. What is it that I'm passionate about? What is it that I want to do in my life? It's good that I'm taking care of everybody, what, but what do I want? And focus on that. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:Well, and I love the I love what you said because I think you're correct that as women, especially, we have so many different roles that we're trying to fill. And we can get so busy just trying to manage the details of those roles that we neglect the essence of our soul entirely. And then when we start to feel out of control, we think the solution is to just go a little faster. If we just do more stuff in these roles, then we'll feel better. And really, what we need to do is stop and take some time. And sometimes it takes almost burning out or some sort of massive life change, a divorce or a job loss or some tragedy that just stops us in our tracks. Yes.
SPEAKER_00:And for those who don't know what's a darkness of the soul, it's exactly that. Like you said it, that's when all your life goes poof. That's the divine that's telling you, you know what, I've been sending you messages, you're not getting it. Well, that's what's going to happen to you now. I'm shutting you off. Reset, recharge, get your life together.
SPEAKER_01:And it can be a blessing because all of those details kind of go away and the soul comes forward at those moments in time. And you can do it without a tragedy if you're paying attention and in tune. But if you're not, you know, if you're not listening, life is going to get you there one way or another. And sometimes it's going to be a rough road. But so many blessings come when you start being sort of soul-centered. That's happened in my life, and it took tragedy for me. I was a stubborn person. And so it took life just blowing up entirely for me to stop and realize that I needed to make massive life change, not just a little life change, but massive life change. And I'm kind of in the midst of that. We were talking before we started recording. I'm in the midst of a lot of that right now. And it's not easy, but I know what needs to happen now because I'm finally listening to the soul and not running quite so fast so that I can hear what is happening.
SPEAKER_00:Exactly. Exactly. When you're connected to your soul, that's the most powerful magic you have within you. You get to a point where when you learn to slow down and be in the present, any question you ask yourself when you're connected to your soul, you'll have the answer right away. That's your best friend. That's your it's telling you what to do. It's telling you what next step. But in order to have that, you need to surrender and trust. You need to trust yourself. We trust everybody around us, but we have such a hard time trusting ourselves. And when things start happening, big things start happening. You mentioned something that made me uh I resonated with. I was the queen of lists, I was the queen of things to do, I was the everything was planned, everything was going through this. And if I didn't make my list, I would overthink at night and and and not sleep. But when I learned that you can have a list of 10 things to do today, but if your soul is telling you, no, not happening today, you're crying, girl. You're releasing. When you accept and you release, there's two things you can do for yourself. When you feel tired, exhausted, or you feel emotional, you need to listen. You need to forget everything on your list and give yourself that time. And the other thing could be where you where you feel like um uh what I was gonna say. I forgot my thought. But if that happens, you need to stop. And then what will happen? Oh, yeah. Um, you are you have a hobby, you have something you love to do. When you feel that stress, don't think that if you don't do what is on your things to do, that you will be delayed. No, no, no, no, no. Because you can sit for six, seven hours to do this list. If you are not in the flow, you are not in that where you need to be connected to be able to produce this work, it will take you 10 times more than just stopping, going outside, do what you love to do. You will be in that happiness, joy, and and feeling good, and you'll come back and that flow of creativity that will happen to you, you might like finish all this list within half an hour and do even more. Yeah.
SPEAKER_01:So that's so true. And I think, you know, I think as strong women, we have a hard time with this idea of surrender because we feel like that's weakness. But actually, you're so right. It's the source of our greatest strength when we can learn to sort of let go and not feel like we have to control every single moment of every single day and let the heart and the soul lead us a bit. Things actually go more efficiently and more effectively. But that's hard to make that mind shift when you're used to being it takes time.
SPEAKER_00:It takes time, Laura. It takes time for some people. For some people, it's it they understand it right away and they're like, okay, I'm going at it. And the other thing that we need to understand also, you can go at it, and then you can have moments where you're like completely disconnected, where you're like, okay, uh, you go back to your old ways, which is totally normal. Totally normal. You'll go back to your old ways, accept it. Go back, but then you're aware. Now you're aware. When you don't have this awareness, it's a different story. But now you are aware that, oh, I went back to my old habits. Automatically you'll see that you're gonna be, oh no, I need to switch. Don't give up. Continue. Uh, work at it. It takes a lot. You're changing a complete mind, body, and soul to completely a different uh way of seeing life, a different way of living life. It's it's it's a lot of work, but it's worth it. Like, like you said, it's a strength to be able to trust and let go, it's strength. It's like saying, I pray to God every day and I put my prayers out there. And then the second thing you do, right after you you had your prayer, you're going and trying to control the situation. And this is when it needs to happen. This is what are you saying? You're saying I don't trust divinity, I don't trust my higher self to think though to you're not trusting. So, what are you doing? You're controlling the situation. Then it's telling you, you know what, you want to do it, do it yourself. I'm not here to help you.
SPEAKER_01:No, that's exactly what's true. And and it's so hard. And this is a lifetime process. It's not like you have these, you know, these learning moments, and then boom, just you're done and you do it perfectly forever. It's it's kind of a building process and a line upon line process. But I will say I'm getting better at it so that when I do fall off track, I can get back on faster. Back on fast. You know, but I don't know if there will ever be a time when I just never fall off track again.
SPEAKER_00:You know, I think it's we're human because it's what it will never happen. And you don't want that to happen. Because then that means that's it. I've grown, and that's my maximum to reach. You want to always be. That's what I tell all my my followers, my custom my clients. You always want to be the a better version of who you were yesterday.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:And in order for you to be, that's all the goal you have to take. Don't look at the goal in six months. Look at what you did yet from do something today that you didn't do yesterday. A little tiny step. You do today, celebrate it, live in it, be happy. Because that little thing you did today will add up to the what you did yesterday, and then tomorrow will add up to today. And that's how you get slowly, slowly to that goal. But by you looking at that goal, you're like, there's no way I can reach the world. There's no way. But why don't you celebrate every little step that you take? So you don't want to be at a stage where you're like, okay, I know everything and I've done. No. God, the the you will always have lessons to learn. And every down you get, you think, oh, I went down. No, that's the lesson. Once you understand why this happened, you're gonna go very fast. Then you'll stuck, you'll be stuck here. Then when when you your higher self-god, or whatever you believe in, thinks that, okay, she's ready to go to level three. Let her let us drop her, teach her a lesson. Because in order to for you to grow, you need to teach her to learn a lesson. Every single time you need to learn a lesson. So let's drop her. She's gonna learn that lesson. If she learns it, she goes to level four. But what happens a lot of the time, I don't know if it happened to you or happened to me a lot, where why is this thing always happening to me? Why is this always happening to me? So something that keeps reoccurring. Well, that's a sign. That means you're not listening, learning, you didn't learn the lesson yet. So sit down and try to see it in a different way through your mind, through your body, through your soul, to see, okay, what did I miss? Once you get that ah, that aha moment, that's it. It will never happen again because you learned that lesson. So the more lessons we learn in life, that's why I see things in a different way today. The more things, bad things are happening to me, the more I can share in the uh out there, and the more I'll be able to reach because people will start resonating to you are their stories. Yes, that's what I'm saying. You are your life stories. So if we can share as much as I as we can, sometimes I think this is too no, nobody's gonna. And then this is so weird, Laura. These are the little stories that I think they're not gonna help anybody. Those are the stories that I get DMs on. Oh my god, and I thought I was alone in this. I never thought someone else. And you know, just making a change for one person is amazing.
SPEAKER_01:But on social media, we are so yeah, no, having the vulnerability to share those things is what I was gonna say. Because I think sometimes it's easy to look around and think everybody else is perfect but me. I'm the only one that has these fears or these weaknesses, or and when we can shed that, it gives us the power to realize that nothing horrible happened by admitting that we're human, but we can bless somebody else as well that needed to know they weren't alone.
SPEAKER_00:Exactly, exactly. And it's hard for social media, you know, Laura. I'm in it, you're in it. Every other person that's on social media, they're trying to, you know, they're doing their businesses and they're entrepreneurs. We get caught, everybody gets caught the first couple of months into seeing this person has such a so much followers, this person is succeeding, this person is, but at the end of the day, you don't know what these people went through. You don't know if it's all true, it's not true. It's a you you don't have no idea until you understand to stop. And this is so hard because we are taught to control or to be controlled. We are taught to be uh following a certain uh stereotype, and we need to fit in that stereotype until you understand that you are unique. You can do the same thing as the other person on the side, do the same advertising, the same sponsoring, the same post, the same kind of Canva uh background, but you'll never have the same followers because your goal is to attract whoever is resonating with you. The people need to resonate with you. They don't care what kind of background you have on your post. If they don't resonate with you, they won't resonate with you. So as long as you focus on yourself, things will start happening in your life and things will start shifting and you will make a difference with the people around you. They see me how I change, and they're there, and then what's gonna happen? Also, you're gonna realize there's a lot of your surroundings that will start disappearing. Yes. Why is that? It's because now their energy is not connecting with your energy, they're not resonating with the new you. They resonated with the old silene, the old one that would do everything for everybody until, but what happens? It's okay. These relationships might disappear from your life. You can cry about it, you can release those emotions. That's fine. But what you understand is by anything that goes out of your life, something bigger and better will come. It's like filling a cup, you're emptying, now you have more space to fill it more. So try to see things and always uh it's hard. Like, I don't like to say positive way, positive way, positive way, because a lot of people they're like, oh, I'm fed up of hearing this. You know, you can't be 24-7 in a positive mindset. It's true. You will never be 24-7 in a positive mindset, but at least, like you said, Laura, you can switch back. You get that negative thought, switch it, think about something better and let it go.
SPEAKER_01:Exactly. So, in addition to your coaching, you're also an author. And so tell me about this book that you have that's gonna be coming out very, very soon. Yes.
SPEAKER_00:So it's weird how this whole thing happened because when I was going through a lot and I was at the bottom, bottom, bottom of the hill, and I didn't know, I knew that this is it. Like I need to do something for myself, I need to change things in my life, but I had no idea what to do. Like I was like completely lost. Yeah. Until I went through my spiritual journey and I was uh reading self-books, uh, help uh self-help books. And for me, I love Gabby Bernstein and I did all her work. And then until I realized that, oh my God. At the age of eight, I had a dream of writing a book one day. And then it kind of like with the years, it kind of went away because I was like, I'm not a writer, there's no way I'm not that good at school, uh, that I'm a perfect writer. Or so I, you know how it is, you you downgrade yourself. So I downgraded that idea, I threw it away, and that's it. And then when I started thinking, what am I gonna do? What am I gonna do? It came back like that, you know, write your goals. And the first goal that I write was write a book. And then the second one, public speaking, and the third one was coaching. And then I was like, okay, it's funny you're coming back now. I don't know. I have no idea what to until I I got a coach will always be coach. I had many coaches, I'm still being coach. It's very important to always think about yourself, also. So, and then we did some uh deeper work, deeper work, and then what came out to me, what I learned as lessons and what what changed my life was to have those tools to overcome overthinking, procrastination, and anxiety. Those were the three main negative patterns that were in my life throughout the whole my life were always coming back. It was a a vicious cycle that would come up, come up, come up. For some other ones, it could be other things that are negative in your life. But what I understood is that majority of the people are going through this. So a lot of people don't think they're they don't think they're doing anxiety. They think anxiety is related to really those uh the big disorder where you need like pills and this and that. So they don't think they are going through anxiety, but anxiety is in everybody and it's totally normal. It's so what I realize is that me overthinking all the time, trying to control everything, and my mind, even sleeping, was still overthinking, overthinking, overthinking. It would take me hours sometimes to go to bed. And so the overthinking was making me every single time that I would say, okay, I'm doing this, I'm starting this business, I'm stagnation. So my overthinking was making me procrastinate because these fears were starting to, you know, you start making all these ideas in your head, but what we don't realize, all it takes is to ask ourselves, is this true? Is this a fact? Yes. Because I can guarantee you that if you ask yourself, is this really true? Like, is it based on on a on an expert past experience that I had or someone that I know went through this? Or is it you in my mind playing games with me? So what I started believing all these thoughts that were coming in my mind and making a whole story about it, and then the fear comes and I would procrastinate. I can take the next step, I can take the next step, and then I would give up. Or I wouldn't meet my deadlines. And what was happening every time that I wasn't meeting my deadlines, because I'm a structured person, very strong masculine energy, I was getting anxiety. So I understood now that overthinking will lead you to procrastination, which would lead you to anxiety. And I wanted to get out of, like once I realized and I was aware of my uh issues, that's when I sat down, I did a lot of research, I did a lot of um, went back to my story, started putting all this together, and I really felt like I was like someone was holding my hand. Everything started loading and loading and loading. That's why I say when you connect to your soul, the magic that will happen, you are here on this earth not only for you, we are way bigger than what we think we are. Things will have to channel to us. When we are ready, when divinities think you are ready, they will channel all kinds of stuff through you. One day you'll hold a pen and you're start writing, and you won't even realize you're writing this, or you'll be on a podcast, or you'll do a live, and you'll be like, who was that? Where'd that come from? Yes, where did that talk come from? And it happens, I'm sure it happens. So, and I do tarot reading, and sometimes I'm doing readings, and I'm like, Wow, wow.
SPEAKER_01:And I always say it's like the outloads all of a sudden down through you, and and it's amazing, and it's coming from you. It was all in there, it was just clouded by the procrastination and overthinking and you know, that's that just keeps so much noise going that we can't hear our own thoughts.
SPEAKER_00:So, this book, I uh when I finalized the book, then it had to go through editing and formatting. I just got the last formatting uh thing I'm gonna open after this to go through it. I decided, um, actually at the time I was writing the book, I'm like, I'm on social media, but how many people can I reach reach with this subject? There's uh a ceiling because I'm not already like I'm not at a 200 follower, 200,000 followers, 1 million followers, but I really thought this book needs to get out fast and it needs to reach as many people as possible. So I said, being in the doing a book and launching a book, it's the best way to reach people worldwide and it will help a lot of people. And that's what I did. So I am um I'm in the promoting the books uh uh stages now, and I'm hoping the book will be published on Amazon the first week of August. That's the plan. Okay. And um yes, yes, I'm super excited. I'm super excited. I I just can't believe that this is finally here and happening. Like it's it's so unreal. But that's that's I'm I'm I'm sharing my experience because I want this for everybody. I want this for everybody. If you think that, you know, you you love to sing in your room and you're always singing, and then there's a few people that are telling you, My God, you have an amazing voice. Once you start understanding, getting rid of those fears, those, you know, having self-confidence in yourself, having that power to trust and and and believe in yourself, this voice might you won't even realize once, you know, you'll you'll get opportunities coming your way. I'm getting opportunities left and right. And yeah, it's it's it's amazing. So um, I don't know if you want me to say this, Laura, now or not about the book.
SPEAKER_01:Uh yeah, so I know I I'm very interested in reading it because I also have a book outline that I've had for several years, and I think it's not completely on paper because of the overthinking, all of the things. I mean, it's me too, you know, and and so I'm this is very opportune timing for me. I would love to read what you have to say about that because I need to get off the fence on getting that down on paper. And I know you told me before we got on camera that for a limited time you will share a free manuscript of your book. Tell people about that.
SPEAKER_00:So um I've been uh it's been two weeks. I've been sharing my manuscript for free. I'm giving it access to everybody that can hear me, okay? Because I do believe that this book will reach millions of people. But I wanna like I want that little first stage of having people get access to the free manuscript. It's the whole manuscript that will I will email it to you. And in exchange, if if it's something that is resonating with you or you feel like, okay, I want to do this, I don't want to force anybody because you're still getting the free manuscript, is an exchange. If I can get a feedback from you or an honest review, it would be really, really great because the more reviews I will get, the more people I will reach. I will be in a higher spot on Amazon and I'm able to reach more people. And um, and I really, really are looking forward to hearing how this book, like I'm getting a lot of already feedback about people started reading the book, and they're like, oh my God, we feel like you're talking to us, like you're and that's how I wanted to write the book in a way where it's like I'm sharing all my life in there, but I'm also being very like for the people that likes facts and likes research, and it's done for everybody, and it's very interactive. The book is very, very interactive. Interactive. There's a lot of exercises in there. There's a lot of worksheets that you can use for yourself or for with your customers, with your clients. And yeah, and once you have that review or that feedback, keep it with me. Like share it with me if you want. But then we're gonna need to go once the book is published and post that review on Amazon. And you will get also the free resources that come with the book, which are amazing. Yeah, I don't know. I haven't announced it yet on my page, the free resources, but it's an amazing, it's it's a library of things you'll get.
SPEAKER_01:It'll be a couple weeks from live.
SPEAKER_00:So the timing should be just right when it finally comes. Amazing, amazing. So you will get a journal, the how to tell me your mind journal that will come with the book, which is 85 pages. It's a huge journal with all the exercises that were in the book, all the worksheets, but you'll have more space to write and work on yourself. And honestly, this journal is like me coaching you for three months in my one of my programs. And you'll have that for free. So you should be able to transform your life and the life of everybody around you. And if you think this book is not for you and you're at a different level, but you know someone in your life that needs that book, it's a perfect thing to offer them as a gift or as an occasion. Just you get that. And on top of it, Amninabi putting in the library also 12 guided meditations. So amazing.
SPEAKER_01:Well, and now you have a couple of other books that people can find. I'm gonna look here so I don't say it wrong. On your website, I noticed happiness starts with you and manifesting a new self-perception. What can you tell us about those ideas? Let's start with happiness starts with you.
SPEAKER_00:Well, happiness starts with you, really. You are the one that's gonna make a difference in your life. You can search and seek happiness everywhere you want. On the outside, you will never be 100% happy. You can make millions of dollars tomorrow, you'll feel that excitement, that happiness. But a lot of times you'll see these people, they go back and they're like still unhappy. It's because there is no happiness on the outside. The happiness comes from within. When you feel like whatever I take as a decision, whatever I do today, I am still happy, I am still in love with myself. This is the true happiness. So there's that. The new self-perception is to view yourself. How do you want to be in a couple? Like, what is it that you, the perfect you, the perfect that that image or that goal you want to achieve? What is it? And then it helps you get there by making your goals through exercises to get there. There's also the clutter your mind, the clutter your, the clutter your home, the clutter your mind that's on Amazon also. That's a little guidebook that I wrote. It's a couple of pages, it's very easy to read, but it was my experience when I decluttered my whole phone, how it affected my my life. Because we don't realize how much being in a surrounding that is cluttered, how it affects us as a person. We don't realize that, but it's all in a subconscious mind. You can be passing through your kitchen and it's clutter everywhere. Or even me, I used to think, oh, I'm gonna move everything and I'm gonna make it look nice and I'm gonna put everything in the cupboard and I'll get to it on one day. What I wasn't realizing is that my mind knew that behind the closed doors, it's clutter. So every time I was walking in that room, it was creating this certain stress and anxiety happening that I wasn't realizing it was coming from what's behind those doors. So this guidebook will help you clear the energy in your home, create a space for yourself to release to work on yourself, self, um, uh your self-care, create another space in your home if you wanted to start the business or start something where it's away from your work. Like I work in the basement, but this family room is my business. I will never mix those two environments because they're completely separate. The energy that I have at work and the energy that I have in my business are two different things because, you know, it's it's not it's out of my control what happens at work. But um, so this this guidebook, and I have like put even pictures in there for organizations and how how decluttering my home, that exercise of doing that with my kids, have helped my kids and set positive habits with them too. Um my kids' uh rooms, they need to be always clean and and put in a way in an organized way, or do they feel like it's not even me telling them? It's from them when they realize how much he knows that his books are here, his video games are here, his clothes are here, he's so he loves it. And he goes, Mommy, no, it takes two seconds now because my room is always clean, so it doesn't take me too long to pick up my room. So this is all the transformation that I went through just by declaring my home. So I have that too on on uh Amazon. You can get um Yeah, so there's a few things that's coming out of nowhere. I'm doing things, and I'm like, how am I doing this? But that's what I'm saying. Once you start focusing on yourself and loving yourself, magic will start happening.
SPEAKER_01:Well, and and you know, we were talking earlier about how that the soul is what makes you unique. So really it the magic is coming because you're telling your stories and your experiences. You're not just trying to put down on paper what a bunch of experts said or what you're just sharing what has worked for you. And there's a lot of beauty in that. I I love that you're doing that. And I like, I love what you said about the closets because I've studied the principles of feng shui quite, you know, quite a lot in my life. That's my next thing on my list. Let's talk about that too, that when you put it in the closet or under the bed or out, you know, out in the garage or whatever, you're hiding it from other people because you're too embarrassed, maybe, to have other people see your mess. Yeah. But what did you just do? Like you still know it's there. And there's still there's still the planet, there's still all of this energy. And it's like the image that we're portraying to other people matters more than the actual function of our home matters for us. And so it's it's a very toxic way of thinking to just shove it under the bed or in the closet to hide it from the neighbors.
SPEAKER_00:And and what you're doing really is that there's three things. There's that that affected a lot. I realized, okay, this is connected to my mind, but there's the other thing too, where you have so much things that you don't even use in your home that you're depriving someone else from using it. Like if there's things that you know you haven't used in a year, a year and a half, why are you so hang on it? Get it out of your house, make more space in your house so you can receive more goodness to come to your home and make your kids or whoever is in there to participate in taking those bags and bringing them to charity, to bring them to you teach them, you feel good. And whatever is broken, why is it still sitting in your house? Get rid of it. And what other thing I learned also that I had some things, some memory things from years, years back, and that person had hurt me at some point, but that that object is still in my house. So, what's happening when I'm walking around or I'm in this room, that I feel it, I don't feel it, my soul is connected. There's still that energy of negativity connected with that. So, all these and those energies, you need to clear that. You need to this this thing now is if you cannot separate yourself from the event that happened that got you sad or that got you hurt, you need to get rid of it. If not, look at it. There's exercise in the guidebook where I teach you how to cleanse it, to clear it. You have to be mindful of every little thing you have in the house. And and that's that's that's taking care of your environment because that's how it starts. You take care of your environment where we most of the time, and then you start working on your internally, and then you're good on both ends. I totally because a lot of people do focus on their internal work, but then they don't realize that their external environment is still toxic.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, and it's gonna be hard to make very many emotional and spiritual and mental breakthroughs whilst we are still surrounded by physical chaos, either whether it's stuff or just any other kind of environmental thing that is holding us back, you know, very toxic relationships or toxic work environments or whatever it may be, that the external clutter and the internal clutter all go together. So I think what holds a lot of people back that has held me back in the past and some clients I've worked with in the past around the whole clutter question is, you know, like we were saying earlier, it it that when you look at the big picture, let's say you've let your house get really out of control, the big picture of that can feel so overwhelming. Oh, this is gonna take me months, it's gonna take forever. In that case, would be one small baby sip that will that they can use to begin the process that's not so overwhelming.
SPEAKER_00:So, first of all, I would suggest there's two ways of doing things, but I'm gonna make it short. I know we're not, but the the first thing that you can do is decide do I want to go room by room? Yes. And let's say, say, okay, this summer I'm gonna focus on the kitchen. And then in fall, please take small steps. Please, please, everything you decide to do in your life, take baby steps because jumping from one place to another too fast, you are gonna procrastinate, you are gonna stop, and you are gonna let go. Take tiny steps. So you can either decide, okay, I have my 12-month calendar, or my my goal is in three months to do it, and I'm gonna do one room at a time. Or the way I do it with my clients is you're gonna go through the whole house with a garbage bag. And you're gonna open cupboards, you're gonna open everything, and whatever you see that's broken and you know that you're getting rid of it, garbage, garbage, garbage, garbage, garbage. Don't touch anything else. Don't touch anything you want to give away. Don't try to organize your cupboards. Forget all that. So you go through your whole house and you throw everything that needs to go. So now everything that needs to go is done. Your second step now is what can I give? What do I need to get rid of? You do the same thing. You take another garbage bag or boxes and you go through your whole house. And okay, this is okay, I'm in the kitchen, I open all my cupboards. Okay, this I'm gonna get rid of, this I'm gonna get rid of, this I'm gonna get rid of, and everything else is gonna stay where it's at. So now you got rid of everything that you want to give away. Now you know that whatever is in your house is what you're keeping. Now you decide, okay, so I'm gonna do the kitchen today. Take everything, everything out, you clean what you have to clean, and then you organize them. If I have like triple of something, just get rid of leave one. You don't need triple of everything. Now, when you know what you have, you look, you take your notepads, your journal, and you write, okay, I need this many containers for this kind of organization. This is how many containers, this is the drawers that I need, these are the labels I need. You start your list of what you need to get to get that fixed. You leave everything there or you put a batter in the cupboard, you go to another room, you do the same, you do the same. Then it's shopping time or whatever that is on Amazon. It was the best place that I found all my containers, all my, even if it's the bottles for your medicines, put them in from we, I don't know where you're at, Laura. I forgot to ask you, but we have Dolorama here. So for 50 cents a dollar, you can buy those open containers. You put everything in there so it's easy to pick it up and bring it down. Instead of you going and looking, and then things start falling and you say, I'm gonna get back to it. I'll come back to it. You'll never come back to it until it's completely declared. So you take it out, you use what you have to use, you put it back. So by you going everywhere, you know what containers you need, you know what organization organizator you need, you get all that, and then you have that fun time to place everything the way you want. I think this was the easiest way to do it and a more calm way than starting, okay. I'm doing the all the kitchen cupboards now, and you have like piles everywhere, and it's stressful. Anything you decide to do in your life, try to think of a way when you're doing it to be calm. Like you can put some your favorite music while you're doing it or make it a fun thing to do. If you're not ready and you don't think this is gonna be fun, don't do it. Wait until you know, you know, okay, now I'm ready. You'll know when you're ready to do it.
SPEAKER_01:I love that. And a lot of different people have different methods, you know, on how to break it up. Um, but the if they everybody that is an expert in this says what you said to to break it up into small steps, because we'll get on kind of in a mood one day and decide, I don't want to do this anymore, and take everything we own out and leave it all around. And all we've done then is just stress ourselves out more, you know. So start with one drawer if you have to, you know, exactly small and doable. Yeah. And slowly it will fix itself. So tell everybody everything to do with how to find. I have another question for you, but before that, tell everyone everything to do. Where do they go to find the books and the information, all of that stuff?
SPEAKER_00:So you can go on um on uh Amazon uh for the declarer your home, declutter your mind. That's already published on all the platforms of Amazon. Go on my website. I have so many things on my website. My blog is on my website, everything is there. The the ebooks, the other ebooks are there. And then uh you can also join my Facebook group, which is Empowering Women with Celine Care. I do every week on Thursday as at 12:30 uh live card meetings, Oracle card readings, tarot readings, and every Friday we talk about different kinds of topics, and I just keep sharing with everybody what I'm doing.
SPEAKER_01:And anybody can join those or join the group.
SPEAKER_00:Oh, yeah, you can you you just go on Empowering One with Selene Care and I approve you. You go in, no problem at all. And then uh Instagram, Facebook under Celine Care, you'll find me there, my business accounts and uh anything that I offer. I always post it in my link and in my bio. You can find everything over there too. And what the website URL?
SPEAKER_01:What was SelinCare.com. Selinecare.com. Okay. That's yeah. And I'll put all of this in the description notes. Yes. So also, but yeah, I've been to your website and it's all very easy to find all the information and the books and all of that stuff on the website. There's tons of information about you and your programs, and and I believe I saw that people can book a consultation with you.
SPEAKER_00:Yes, yes, yes. You ever want to hit something, you want you're having a thought or you're not sure about something, just hop on a 30-minute clarity call. You know how much work you can do on a 30-minute clarity call. It'll get you very far, and then you decide if this is good, you can resonate. We don't resonate. This is very important to choose your coach, but you can just choose your coach by looking at social media. You need to have that one-on-one call. You need to talk to that person and see if you resonate. And then there's uh, I offer the Empowering Woman at the program, Empowered Woman, and it's three months, and it's uh, we work on the mind, body, and soul and spirituality and will get you where you need to go. And like I was saying, I don't know if I say it, said it here or before the recording, I will teach you and I will provide you with so many tools, self-care tools, that you will be able to use that with any other area of your life in the future without necessarily needing coaching in the future. But I think that once you understand that investing in yourself will always bring a return in your life. You know, it's so easy. We book trips, we book this, we buy this, we buy that. But when it comes to ourselves, we have a hard time investing. What I understood that the best investments I've been doing in the last four years is to invest in myself. And this is my priority. There's nothing else that I will be spending except on myself. And uh that's how you succeed. That's how you succeed, that's where you hit your goals.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, and you referenced earlier that you still have a coach as well. And I think that's something that most people that maybe aren't in the coaching industry don't understand. Is that I would venture to guess that the vast majority of coaches have coaches. Of course.
SPEAKER_00:You want to hit the next level in your business or in your life, you need to be coached. You need to, why will I take the slow road to get to where I want to get? Right. If I have a coach helping me and guiding me and tell, you know, take this road, or you need to work on this internally to be able to unblock. Like there's a lot of things you can do with a coach that will get you to where you need to get much faster, but you need to experience it, you need to have that first coach. Yeah, once you understand that, you're like, uh no, I want to continue. I want, you know, you can either decide to continue with that same coach or go to a different business coach, or you know, there's all kinds of coaches out there.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah, there's fitness coaches, there's people that that have really taken the time to to study and be trained in certain areas. And you think three months, on the one hand, you can think, that's such a long time to commit myself to this. But think about how long you've been feeling stuck. Most people, by the way, exactly. Yeah, and if they don't take the that time to really focus on, they might still be stuck years from now. And you can make so much progress in three months. Even progress.
SPEAKER_00:Amazing progress. Amazing progress.
SPEAKER_01:Life changing, truly. Like, yeah, and it's hard for people, like you said, to really understand that until they take the leap, whatever area, whether it's like I said, life coaching, business coaching, personal training, whatever, to understand the difference it can make to have a professional guiding you through the experience that you're feeling.
SPEAKER_00:It's so true what you're saying, because it took me two years to come up with a business plan to start. Where how do I start? And then I hired a business coach, and within three weeks, yeah, my business was up and running. And I'm like, why did I wait so long? These people do that for a living, they know exactly what you need to guide you. And it's like, yeah, it costed me money, but it would have cost me as much if I was procrastinating because I'm spending on this course, on this course, on this course, and I'm not really applying what I'm learning. So a coach will be there to be accountable, to be telling you, okay, you've learned this, show me now. Like you, you know, it's not like being your own, you'll say, Okay, yeah, I'm gonna take an extra course, I'll get there once I take that extra course. But taking courses without applying what you're learning will not get you anywhere.
SPEAKER_01:Yeah.
SPEAKER_00:And yeah.
SPEAKER_01:So well, and I'll share a little personal story with you that's a little bit embarrassing, but it goes to the point of how we tend to magnify in our minds what something's gonna be like or how hard it'll be. I had a deck, and I won't go into the whole story as to why, but it got left half painted about two and a half years ago. And every day I walk by it, and it's oh, we need to get to that. We need to do that. And it's one of those things that eventually you stop registering it, but somehow in the back of your mind, you know, you need to address it. So now I'm getting ready to list my house. So it's become urgent. So finally I'm off the fence, right? And and me and three of my boys went out there yesterday, and it took us about nine hours, and it was very, very hard work, but it's done. And now I'm filled with years of anxiety that I walked around with that ultimately got solved in about nine hours of concentrated effort because we just blow it up in our minds, and the procrastination feels like we're avoiding the pain, but we're just dragging the pain out for longer until it turns into anxiety, until it turns into something urgent, and we have to dive in, and we almost always realize that was all it took. You know, so and and coaching can be that for people too. They will just live with this dilemma and this stuckness for years and get a coach, and in a couple of weeks they're on track and somebody's holding them accountable, and the magic starts to happen, and they'll wonder why they never started sooner, you know?
SPEAKER_00:Oh, it's it's like a lot of the times we think, oh, I don't have time, or I don't have the money for this, or I don't have the but it's is it really true, or is it your fears keeping you out? And what I told on in one of the podcasts one day, I said, careful with your ego. I don't see the ego as a bad thing, but the ego is like a mama bear where it's trying to protect you from anything. So that mama bear will not let you even go play outside because it's a thing that you're gonna get a knee scratch. So careful with that. Like you have to make your ego feel, okay. I know this is not how I'm used to taking decision, or this is not in my habitual uh habits, but trust me, it's gonna be okay. Talk to yourself and then take that step. And that you're gonna see transformations. If you stay doing the things the same way you've been doing for the last 20 years, nothing will change. You need to make a change so things start changing. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01:Well, the final question I have for you today this podcast is based on seeking joy in your life and MPs and all of those things that that lead to joy. How do these principles and the things we've talked about about integrating that mind, body, and spirit mindset lead to greater joy in someone's life?
SPEAKER_00:Well, first, first off, first, first thing, try to find what is it that brings you the most joy. Like for me, it was reading books, like me being alone and reading books, having my fireplace or music in the background was my thing because this is something you're gonna be using over and over and over and over again. Then it's really the two things that will increase your joy and happiness is having a gratitude journal, being grateful every single day, put 10 things you're grateful for every single day in a separate journal just made for that, and then having that uh self-compassion and forgiveness journal. And um, if you you are able to start being grateful in your life, you'll start realizing that your mindset will switch their the the mind, the your mind will start shifting to being grateful many times in the day. It's not gonna be, it's a habit you're building. So instead of your mind going to the negativity, that will start going to the positive, positive thoughts, and it's gonna become like an adrenaline, a shock of joy that's gonna be in your life because now you're living off of that gratitude, that compassion. And self-forgiveness, it's the most transformational thing that happened in my life to forgive myself. And in the book, I will give you prompts to how to learn to forgive yourself for things that were not in your control that you still hold within you and think that it was your fault. Forgive yourself. We are easy to forgive people, but we never forgive ourselves. So, self-love, self-forgiveness, and gratitude, I can guarantee you you're gonna get an abundance of joy and happiness in your life. Yeah, that's what I believe.
SPEAKER_01:I love that. I've worked with gratitude journals for many years. I'm a huge believer in that. I've never heard anybody talk about a self-compassion and forgiveness journal. That's a fantastic idea. I love that.
SPEAKER_00:Yeah, yeah. I'll I'll maybe I'll uh try to remember to put you a link. It was one that I bought on Amazon at that time, and it went like those questions and prompt went very deep that you would never would have thought about asking yourself. And uh yeah, I I have some of my own in the book, but it's amazing. Really, really, really, these are the three things you need to focus on. And every time you feel down, go to that thing that you love to do. It takes 10 minutes, recharge, forget, let your mind forget about what the thoughts are going, those recurring thoughts, calm it down. You need to talk to yourself and calm your mind. Remember that you have the control over your mind. We are used to having the mind control us. No, we are the boss of it. So, this is what we need to have that shift happen. Where, you know, I know you're powerful, you're a very powerful machine, you're my hard drive, but I am gonna program you. And I will change that programming you have. I'm gonna reprogram my mind. And that's what you need to do. Reprogram your mind. I love that.
